Chancey Metals, LLC is a longstanding local metal fabrication shop in need of a Lead Welder for our 1st Shift to join our team.

Lead Welder Job Responsibilities and Requirements

• Safety conscious and familiar with standard safety rules and policies
• Good communication and team working skills
• Coachable and trainable
• Must be able to meet and/or exceed production goals
• MIG welding of Mild Steel & Aluminum (Certifications a plus)
• Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings
• Ability to arrange and fit prepared components into fabricated products
• Knowledge of grinding and sanding of welded areas to various degrees of finishing
• Experience in fabrication and installation with miscellaneous steel, stairs, and rails (a plus)
• Other duties as assigned. May operate equipment such as band saw, tube bender, or other shop equipment.
• Experience with other shop equipment would be a plus.
• Forklift Operator (a plus)
• Must pass welding test prior to employment
• Must provide own tools (welding helmet, tape measure, framing square, welding pliers)
• Safety toe boots required. Other required PPE is provided by Chancey Metals, LLC
