We are in search of a Lead Substation Engineer to join our diverse and fast-paced Pittsburgh, PA organization. As a core team member, you will be interacting with various electric utility disciplines, playing a valuable part in leading and designing high voltage utility substation projects. Hybrid Schedule: for the Pittsburgh, PA team (2-3 days week in office)

The Challenge:

• Lead conceptual and detailed HV and MV Substation design for medium to large scale utilities/substations (including basic layout, electrical arrangement, one line, three line drawings, plan-section, grounding, AC and DC system drawings)
• Take complete ownership of each project, including management of technical design, staffing, schedule, and budget.
• Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with the internal teams and clients to meet project objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a diverse team of engineers, designers, and drafters.
• Develop and review project proposals, including scopes of work and cost estimates.
• Perform Quality Control reviews on medium to large substation projects
• Continually improve and maximize team quality and efficiency.

What Sets You Apart:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or other related degree
• Eight (8+) plus years of direct experience in substation design

You Might Also have:

• Registered Professional Engineer (P.E) license
• Master’s degree in related field
• Experience leading a project team

Pay Range:Pay Range $107,900.00 - $195,050.00
