We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Structural Design Engineer with extensive knowledge in API above-ground storage tank design and repair, particularly related to DoD fuel systems. The ideal candidate will possess an API 653 certification and demonstrate a strong understanding of industry standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead structural engineering efforts for the design, inspection, and repair of above-ground fuel storage tanks.
- Prepare engineering calculations for the structural design of concrete foundations, steel POL storage tanks, structures, pipe supports, equipment and maintenance platforms, and industrial buildings.
- Conduct thorough assessments of existing tanks to identify structural and hydraulic deficiencies and prepare inspection reports, including recommending appropriate repair solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative, cost-effective design solutions that meet client requirements and regulatory standards.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
- Provide technical guidance and support to engineers and project teams.
- Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations related to above-ground tank design and repair.

- Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience required
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- Ability to obtain U.S. military base access through completion of a comprehensive background check.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Willing and able to independently travel periodically to project locations, domestic and international.

Physical Requirements
- Work predominantly in an office environment. Occasional outside work in various conditions.
- See, hear and communicate with others in varying conditions using various methods.
- Travel independently for varying periods, both domestic and international.
- Lift or move up to 50 lbs.
- Sit or stand for sustained period.
- Ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like.
