Lead Specialist, Maintenance Planner/Scheduler

The Lead Specialist, Maintenance Planner/Scheduler is responsible for coordination of planning activities between production and maintenance groups for scheduled intervention of assets to improve efficiency and productivity of the maintenance workforce. Schedule intervention is for preventative maintenance activities, mitigation of defects and repairs or equipment modifications. Supports management of MRO inventory for the manufacturing areas.

Your key responsibilities

  • Conduct/participate in daily/weekly planning meetings with production supervisors and Production planners to establish asset availability for intervention, work order priorities, as well as review recommended planned maintenance actions for the following week, coordinate asset access and availability to meet these needs

  • Develop long range as well as short range planning, long range planning includes regular analysis of backlog and open work orders, publish reports

  • Create detailed job plan, sequence of events, and task dependencies

  • Prepares job detailed work order, detailed job plan, labor deployment by craft and skills with man-hour estimates, shutdown requirements, Bill of materials for the job (requisitioned for job use), required permits, prints, sketches, pictures, special procedures, etc.

  • Provides planning for major and minor system shutdowns

  • Work with the maintenance/reliability engineer in developing maintenance procedures for new equipment and/or systems taking into account recommendations from the OEM’s. and asset performance

You bring

  • High School Diploma or GED, engineering degree
  • 5-8 years’ experience in chemical, food, pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
  • 5-8 years’ experience inventory control and management
  • 5–8 years of maintenance planning experience with large rotating equipment
  • Proficient knowledge of mechanical/chemical plant equipment, parts and supplies.

The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Salary $38.46-$45.43 per hour.
