Lead Software Engineer (Java / Angular) - Contract to Hire - 100% Remote

Optomi, in partnership with a leader in food supply and distribution, is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to help drive the development of a next- routing and fulfillment platform. This individual will guide a team of 8–10 developers and work closely with architects, contractors, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, AWS, and Angular. The ideal candidate will enjoy solving complex business problems, leading from a technical perspective, and mentoring junior engineers while remaining hands-on with the code.

Experience of the Right Candidate:

• Strong experience in backend development using Java and Spring Boot

\n

• Exposure to frontend technologies such as Angular and TypeScript

\n

• Hands-on experience with event-driven architecture using Kafka

\n

• Experience with AWS and microservice-based architecture

\n

• Experience leading development teams or mentoring junior developers

\n

• Familiarity with supply chain systems, routing, or transportation technologies

\n
