Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned and visionary Lead Red Hat Linux Architect to lead the modernization of our enterprise infrastructure into a scalable, secure, and cloud- platform. This hands-on role requires deep expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat OpenStack Platform (RHOSP 17.1), Service Telemetry Framework (STF), automation, observability, and hybrid cloud operations.

Key Responsibilities
\n
Design, Architecture & Deployment
\n
- \n
- Lead the design, deployment, and configuration of RHOSP 17.1 cloud environments, including compute, storage, and networking.
- Deliver fully configured and validated OpenStack environments aligned with business objectives.
- Define Linux and OpenStack architectural standards ensuring scalability, automation, security, and performance.
- Partner with Cloud, DevOps, and Application teams to integrate workloads across private and hybrid cloud environments.

Cloud Operations Management

- Manage day-to-day OpenStack operations to ensure system availability, reliability, and performance.
- Oversee patch management, node scaling, monitoring integration, and performance tuning.
- Implement automation for backup, configuration management, and disaster recovery processes.

Documentation & Knowledge Transfer

- Create comprehensive architecture, deployment, and operational documentation.
- Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and provide guidance to operational teams.

- Review and optimize Ceilometer and STF configurations.
- Integrate RHOSP telemetry, Prometheus monitoring, and alerting pipelines.
- Analyze logs across OpenStack services and identify recurring performance or stability issues.

Lifecycle Management

- Plan and validate RHOSP upgrades through lab and staging environments before production deployment.
- Automate backup and recovery processes for OpenStack databases, configurations, and metadata.
- Validate restoration procedures and disaster recovery readiness.

Security & Compliance

- Review STIG compliance requirements and validate RHOSP 17.x configurations.
- Verify firewall, SELinux, and authentication policies across controller and compute nodes.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments using Red Hat Insights or OpenSCAP and drive remediation efforts.

Capacity & Performance
\n

- Add and validate compute nodes using Director (TripleO).
- Support GPU node onboarding and Nova GPU scheduling validation.
- Optimize Nova, Neutron, and Cinder services for maximum performance.

Automation & Efficiency

- Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for provisioning, patching, and backup activities.
- Manage Git-based repositories for infrastructure automation and change control.

Continuous Improvement

- Identify operational gaps and recommend platform improvements.
- Lead OpenStack and Ansible knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Provide monthly reports on automation maturity, reliability, and performance improvements.

Required Qualifications
\n

- 10+ years of Linux architecture and administration experience.
- Extensive experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and RHOSP (preferably 17.1).
- Proven track record in architecting and operating private or hybrid OpenStack cloud environments.
