Position Overview

We are seeking a licensed Senior Project Architect / Project Manager who can independently lead projects from programming through construction administration while helping expand our presence in:

  • Multifamily
  • Mixed-Use
  • Retail
  • Residential Development
  • Hospitality
  • Senior Living

This is a client-facing leadership role within a collaborative design-build environment. The selected candidate will have meaningful autonomy and be expected to take ownership of project performance, client relationships, and sector growth initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership

  • Lead $10M+ projects from concept through construction completion
  • Serve as primary client contact
  • Guide zoning, entitlement, and permitting processes
  • Manage project schedules, staffing, and documentation quality
  • Coordinate consultants (MEP, structural, civil)
  • Oversee construction administration (RFIs, submittals, ASIs, site visits)

Financial & Performance Accountability

  • Manage project fees and maintain profitability targets
  • Monitor budget vs. actual hours
  • Forecast project revenue and workload
  • Participate in internal financial performance reviews

Design-Build Integration

  • Collaborate directly with construction leadership during preconstruction
  • Participate in conceptual budgeting and value engineering
  • Support GMP development and cost coordination

Market & Business Development

  • Participate in proposals and client presentations
  • Support business development efforts within assigned sectors
  • Help cultivate and maintain developer and owner relationships
  • Identify repeat and referral opportunities

Team Leadership

  • Manage and mentor internal project teams
  • Assign tasks and oversee deliverables
  • Support continuous improvement of documentation standards

 

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed Architect (Florida or ability to obtain)
  • 5–10 years of progressive professional experience
  • Experience leading projects independently
  • Experience with $10M+ project types
  • Strong construction administration experience
  • Proficiency in Revit and BIM coordination
  • Strong understanding of permitting and entitlement processes

 

/ High-Value Experience

The following are strong positives:

  • Multifamily, municipal/government, mixed-use, retail, residential, hospitality, or senior living experience
  • Construction background or significant experience working closely with contractors
  • Experience working with municipalities and public review processes
  • Business development or marketing experience
  • Interest in incorporating AI or emerging technologies into the design process
  • Florida (not required)
  • Public speaking experience is a plus
  • Existing professional relationships that could evolve into design-build opportunities

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $125,000 – $150,000 (commensurate with project experience and business development qualifications)
