Lead Piping Engineer -차장

1. Purpose
This job position will be assigned to perform either in house piping design or supervising the local
design institute for piping design for *** Korea. This position will require lead engineer who is able to
perform the required piping design responsibilities and provide proper judgment in reviewing third
parties’ piping design drawings.
He/she will be also expected to provide piping design and construction material estimation to support
PDE(project development engineers).
This position is expected to provide technical review, coaching and general supervision to other team
members.

2. Responsibility
1) Provide Engineering support as Piping Engineer for all projects in *** Korea.
2) Be accountable for the complete engineering and design of mechanical / piping installations.
This includes, overall plant layout, location of all major items of equipment, the preparation of design
models, all specifications used for piping design, material, purchase, completion of above and
underground drawings for installation of piping systems, requisition of all piping materials, etc.,
necessary to effectively construct a given project.
3) Review and approve the detail design contractor’s output including general piping arrangement
drawings, piping isometric drawings, bill of materials, stress analysis, etc.
4) Lead and coordinate muti-function engineers during layout review session for bid stage and 3D
modeling review session for detail design stage.
5) Be responsible for issuing Design & construction RFQ package as followings.
- Mechanical & piping design / firefighting design contract
- Mechanical & piping construction / firefighting construction contract
6) Accumulate data necessary for preparation of project piping engineering estimation.
Such data to include piping man-hours, computer costs, etc.
7) Vendor qualification, visit suppliers and fabricator's in the region to expedite technical vendor data
(procedures, drawings schedules, reports, etc) and to expedite equipment delivery, Perform inspection
to ensure conformance with technical requisition and purchase order
8) Comply with *** Global Engineering Standards and Procedures in the engineering process.
9) Support Permit work for KGSC, KOSHA, etc.
10) Monitor and alert Project Manager of any deviations in job plan that affects costs, schedules or
information to take corrective action where possible.
11) Coordinate the activities of the design and construction teams.

4. Requirement
1) Job Incumbent should have Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Mechanical / Chemical Engineering
preferred.
2) Looking for experienced employee as Piping Engineer in related industry such as Petrochemical,
Gas or Engineering & Construction.
3) Plant Construction experience in Petrochemical, Gas or Engineering & Construction companies can be
helpful.
4) Full conversant with relevant international code & standards such as ANSI/ASME,, API standards and
other local regulation. Full conversant with piping engineering and design practices in refinery,
oil & gas and petroleum industry.
5) Conversant with 3D CAD program (PDS , PDMS or S3D) , 3D Model Review System
(SP Review, AVEVA Review or Autodesk NavisWorks) and 2D CAD SYSTEM (Auto CAD or Microstation)
6) Experienced with handling package item such as fire-fighting equipment or piping skid is preferred.
