Lead Offshore Survey and Positioning
Are you ready to transition your deep offshore expertise into a strategic, high-impact onshore role? We are seeking a highly experienced survey professional to take ownership of all geospatial methodologies, quality assurance, and technical strategy for major subsea construction and IRM (Inspection, Repair, Maintenance) projects globally. This role is crucial for ensuring technical excellence from the initial bid through final project close-out.
What You Will Drive-
This is a senior, influential position where you will be the technical authority responsible for optimizing project execution and minimizing risk. Your core responsibilities include:
- Methodology Architect: Drive technical and operational strategy by developing, reviewing, and validating all project-specific survey and positioning procedures. Ensure all methodologies adhere strictly to client requirements and international industry standards.
- Strategic Project Oversight: Provide continuous technical and operational input across the entire Subsea Construction (SURF) and IRM project lifecycle, from tender development and budgeting to execution planning and final delivery.
- Stakeholder Command: Act as the primary technical liaison, coordinating efforts between internal engineering teams, clients, and critical third-party service providers to lock in personnel, equipment, and logistical readiness for offshore worksites.
- Quality Assurance & Auditing: Oversee and manage the output of third-party providers and field teams, guaranteeing the quality and timeliness of all survey deliverables while controlling scope and budget.
- Champion Continuous Improvement: Lead project briefings and debriefings to ensure complete clarity of scope. Analyze end-of-trip reports, document lessons learned, and actively implement workflow and technology enhancements to maximize data quality and operational efficiency.
- Technical Mentorship: Act as a dedicated mentor and technical guide for junior surveyors, actively contributing to their training and career development within the discipline.

Qualifications & Expertise
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Surveying, Geomatics, Hydrography, Geophysics, or a related technical science discipline. Membership in a professional survey association is beneficial.
- Experience: 7+ years of progressive experience in a similar onshore support role, backed by a strong operational history in offshore survey operations.
- Subsea Mastery: Demonstrated experience in subsea construction & operations. You must possess a strong, current understanding of modern techniques and technologies in ROV-based positioning, measurement, and mapping.
Core Skills
- Project Execution: Exceptional ability to manage complex, independent workloads with a master-level focus on meeting project schedules, safety (HSE), and quality targets.
- Software Proficiency: Mastery of industry-standard survey software is required. Must be highly proficient in business tools (Microsoft Excel and Word) for documentation and data reporting.
- Collaboration & Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, necessary for leading briefings, drafting procedures, and collaborating effectively with multinational teams and clients.
- Adaptability: Proven dependability and the flexibility required to meet dynamic operational demands, including varying schedules and potential travel requirements.
