Overview
Our client is a leading energy company seeking an experienced Lead Nuclear Electrical Engineer to join their nuclear operations team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned engineering professional to lead complex nuclear projects and provide technical expertise in a critical infrastructure environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical expertise in support of nuclear plant operations
- Lead large-scale nuclear engineering projects with minimal supervision
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and facilitate problem-solving initiatives
- Perform specialized electrical/I&C engineering functions including power systems analysis
- Apply nuclear industry standards and regulations to novel situations
- Utilize computational tools such as ETAP and EDISON for power system analysis
- Develop ladder logic and conduct safe shutdown analysis
- Resolve high-level technical conflicts and provide backup supervision
- Act as technical consultant to management and engineering teams
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (PE license , may substitute for degree)
- Experience: 15+ years of nuclear engineering or related experience
- Extensive expertise in nuclear plant operations and engineering project management
- Proficiency with power systems, electrical analysis, and nuclear safety systems
- Experience with ETAP, EDISON, or similar computational tools
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Excellent conflict resolution and communication skills
- Ability to work independently on complex, precedent-setting projects
