Certified Apartment Staffing is seeking an experienced Lead Maintenance Technician for a multifamily apartment community in Covington, Louisiana. We are looking for a hands-on maintenance professional who is not afraid to tackle all aspects of property maintenance and community upkeep.

Important Job Requirement

This community requires a Lead Maintenance Technician who is comfortable working in an environment where trash removal and grounds cleanup are a significant part of the position. This includes:

Working around and managing large rolling dumpsters

Assisting with trash collection and overflow cleanup

Picking up litter and debris throughout the property

Cleaning up pet waste when necessary

Maintaining the overall cleanliness and curb appeal of the community

Lead Maintenance Responsibilities

Oversee daily maintenance operations

Complete service requests and work orders efficiently

Perform HVAC troubleshooting and repairs

Conduct preventive maintenance inspections

Complete apartment turns and make-ready units

Handle plumbing, electrical, appliance, carpentry, and general maintenance repairs

Assist with emergency maintenance calls as needed

Ensure community grounds are maintained to company standards

Work closely with property management to prioritize maintenance needs

Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies

Qualifications

Previous multifamily apartment maintenance experience required

Previous Lead Maintenance or Maintenance Supervisor experience

EPA Certification strongly

Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and general maintenance

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Reliable transportation and a strong work ethic

Ability to lead by example and assist with all aspects of property maintenance, including grounds and cleanup duties
