Job Description
Knowledge of relevant IEC, BS standards\n\nProject technical point of contact on LV systems for the end Client, Sub-Contractors and other relevant stakeholders\n\nLead development of system wide LVAC and DC Functional Design Specification and Control & Operating philosophy, necessary for a safe and reliable system operation\n\nProficient use of industry approved software packages (Amtech/Electrical OM) for LV system design\n\nDesign and specification of LV switchboards and associated cables\n\nDevelop and finalise system wide LVAC and DC load calculations\n\nLVAC and DC cable sizing for associated switchgear, SCADA, UPS and DC battery systems and other ancillary systems\n\nDesign and specification of above and below ground LV cable installation\n\nLead the development of LV system protection in liaison with Specialist design consultants\n\nLead design verification and validation of overall LV system including those of associated stakeholders\n\nReview FAT documents, attend FATs to ensure design compliance is met\n\nAutoCAD experience desirable with a view to develop designs where required\n\nPermanent DG sizing and specification desirable \n\nBS7671 Wiring regulations\n\nPreparation of Cable Block drawings\n\nPreparation Cable schedule and cable end termination schedules\n\nGeneral Requirements\n\nAbility to interpret designs, identify risks and non compliances and provide mitigations\n\nLead the ITT process in terms of scope/requirement specification, tender evaluation and sign off\n\nProvide guidance and expertise on LV systems to project team\n\nAbility to liaise and coordinate with multi disciplinary engineering functions\n\nUndertake site visits to oversee testing and commissioning of LV systems\n\nersg are an equal opportunities employer; we are committed to promoting equality of opportunity for all job applicants.
