Job Description
Lead HV Electrical Engineer for a major Offshore Wind Project based in The United Kingdom\n\nResponsibilities \n\nAdapt the FEED design of electrical systems (covering electrical system design, onshore substation, offshore reactive compensation station and offshore substations) including the work of 3rd party consultants to enable the procurement of assets and start of detailed design.\nManage the detailed design, ensure that the design optimizes LCOE, takes fabrication and installation constraints into account and meets all requirements in terms of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality\nDefine and implement activities relating to quality control and assurance of the electrical packages and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements\nCoordinate and interface with all members of the project team and its suppliers as necessary in support of the organisation's objectives\nAssess contractor proposals, coordinating and assisting in negotiating contracts\nLiaise with experts within the wider shareholders' entities\nEnsure interfaces with other packages, contractors and stakeholders are identified and appropriately managed\nEnsure requirements in terms of Quality and HSE are metRequirements \n\nExcellent organisation skills with the ability to manage own workload, meet timescales and coordinate both external and internal stakeholders\nExcellent communication skills, with the ability to enable effective discussion and transfer of information between contractors, team members and other stakeholders\nProactive and co-operative way of working. \nThe technical skills to understand complex onshore & offshore operations and the ability to exchange with and understand subject experts,\nEvaluation of Tenders and contractors from a technical point of view
