Job Title: Lead Engineering Manager - Civils & Stations\n\nLocation: UK Wide (with significant travel required)\nContract Type: Contract (Inside IR35, via Umbrella only)\nDuration: Ongoing long-term project\n\nWe're seeking a highly experienced Senior Engineering Manager to oversee a team of NEC3 Supervisors working on a major UK infrastructure programme across Civils and Stations. This is a leadership-focused role requiring someone who can provide technical direction, ensure delivery excellence, and champion quality across multiple workstreams.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nLead and manage a team of NEC3 Supervisors, ensuring consistent application of standards and procedures.\n\nOversee competency, reporting, and performance KPIs across the supervisory function.\n\nPromote best practice in engineering supervision and drive continuous improvement.\n\nAttend and contribute to the Quality Leadership Forum, sharing insight and lessons learned.\n\nManage implementation of disallowed cost processes for defects across contracts.\n\nBuild strong relationships with internal teams and contractor organisations to ensure alignment and collaboration.\n\nKey Requirements\n\nProven experience leading NEC Supervisor teams on major civil engineering or infrastructure programmes (mega-project experience ).\n\nNEC3 Supervisor accreditation (essential).\n\nStrong understanding of NEC contract principles, quality management, and defect resolution.\n\nSkilled in performance management, reporting, and cross-functional coordination.\n\nConfident communicator capable of building rapport with senior stakeholders across multiple contractors.\n\nWillingness to travel extensively across project sites and regional offices.\n\nThis is a pivotal role for an experienced engineering leader looking to make an impact on one of the UK's most complex infrastructure programmes, ensuring quality, consistency, and performance across delivery teams
