The Work\n
\nAt our Lockheed Martin RMS Mitchel Field site on Long Island (NYC metro area), we are seeking a skilled engineer primarily responsible for leading technical efforts and projects for the U.S Navy's strategic navigation submarine programs. In this role you will collaborate with cross functional teams as you lead technical projects from inception to completion. You will be accountable to engineering management for technical oversight for different functional areas of the navigation subsystem and associated technical efforts.\n

Basic Qualifications:\n
\n- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline such as Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or Physics, in addition to at least 5 years of professional experience\n
\n- Applicable technical experience on model-based systems engineering (MBSE) projects.\n
\n- Ability to work collaboratively on an Agile team with both local and geographically distributed teammates including subcontractors, technical agents, and customers\n
\n- Excellent demonstrated interpersonal and time management skillsets\n
\n- Must be a US ; this position will require a government security clearance\n
Desired Skills:\n
\n- Advanced degree from an accredited college in a related discipline such as Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or Physics\n
\n- Experience with MBSE tools\n
\n- Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and/or development efforts\n
\n- Knowledge of Python, Pytorch, ONNX, and general AI/ML tools and libraries\n
\n- Basic understanding of time-domain (Kalman, Least-Squares, etc.) and frequency-domain filtering (Low-Pass, High-Pass, Band-Pass, Notch, etc.)\n
\n- Proficiency working within both Windows and Unix/Linux environment\n
\n- Proficiency with simulation tools (e.g. Simulink) and scripting (Python, MATLAB, C++/C)\n
\n- Familiarity with coding in C and C++\n
\n- Familiarity with Position, Navigation, and Timing with and without GPS\n
\n- Familiarity with Inertial Navigation algorithms\n
\n- Familiarity with Estimation and Guidance algorithms\n
\n- Familiarity with active SONAR systems (Correlation Velocity Log, Doppler Velocity Log, etc.) and underwater platforms\n
\n- Active Secret / Top Secret Security Clearance\n

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.\n
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.\n
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off\n

\nThe base range for this position in New York is $124,899 - $199,044 \n

The wage range and benefits summary is a general guideline and is governed by the applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer. \n
