Job Description

Lead Engineer – Cockpit Plastic Trims (Automotive)\n\nWe are recruiting a Lead Engineer – Cockpit Plastic Trims to support the end-to-end development of automotive interior plastic components for premium vehicle programmes.\n\nThis is a hands-on engineering role focused on cockpit and interior plastic trims, covering concept design through to production launch.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Lead the design and development of cockpit plastic trims including fascia, IP and interior components\n\n * Create and release CAD designs using CATIA V5/V6\n\n * Apply DFMEA, DFM and DFA to ensure robust and manufacturable designs\n\n * Work closely with Tier-1 suppliers on injection moulding, compression moulding and finishing processes\n\n * Support NVH / BSR performance, durability and regulatory compliance\n\n * Manage technical delivery during prototype, validation and production phases\n\n * Drive cost, weight and quality targets, including VAVE activities\n\nEssential Experience\n\n * Strong background in automotive interior or cockpit plastic trim engineering\n\n * Proven experience with plastic injection moulding and trim manufacturing processes\n\n * Hands-on use of CATIA in an OEM or Tier-1 environment\n\n * Knowledge of NVH, BSR and automotive regulatory requirements\n\n * Experience working across design, manufacturing, quality and suppliers\n\nDesirable\n\n * Premium or luxury vehicle programme exposure\n\n * Supplier management and cost optimisation experience\n\nThis role suits an experienced Senior or Lead Engineer who enjoys technical ownership and delivery within automotive interiors.\n\nApply now to discuss further details in confidence
