Lead Electrical Engineer – Data Centre Project

Berkshire, England

Up to £90,000 + Package

Mission-Critical Data Centre Construction

A major data centre development in Berkshire is looking for an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to take ownership of electrical delivery on a high-profile, mission-critical project.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing contractor working at the forefront of the UK’s booming data centre market.

The Role

As Lead Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for managing a package of a £100m+ electrical scope (Technology, Structured Cabling, BMS) from design coordination through installation, commissioning, and handover.

You’ll play a key leadership role on-site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest technical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering delivery across the project lifecycle
• Manage subcontractors and specialist suppliers on-site
• Coordinate with design teams, client reps, and commissioning partners
• Oversee installation quality, testing, and compliance
• Drive programme performance and resolve technical issues
• Ensure all works meet health & safety and industry standards

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Lead or Senior Electrical Engineer on large-scale projects
• Data centre or other mission-critical environment experience strongly
• Strong knowledge of ELV systems, BMS, structured cabling and IT
• Ability to manage teams and subcontractor performance
• Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills
• Relevant electrical engineering qualification or trade background
