Position Overview
We are seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and energy storage solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and deliver projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical engineering design for renewable energy projects (solar PV, wind, battery storage).
- Develop electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and system layouts.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, and local codes.
- Oversee electrical system integration, testing, and commissioning.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Collaborate with project managers, civil engineers, and contractors.
- Conduct power system studies (load flow, short circuit, protection coordination).
- Manage vendor relationships and review equipment specifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s ).
- PE License in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 3 years in renewable energy.
- Strong knowledge of power systems, grid interconnection, and energy storage.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar design software.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Skills
- Experience with SCADA systems and inverter technologies.
- Familiarity with utility-scale renewable projects.
- Knowledge of emerging clean energy technologies.
