Lead Electrical Engineer | Offshore & Onshore Substations | Hamburg | Permanent

I am currently supporting the search for a Lead Electrical Engineer to join a major offshore wind development.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved with the electrical scope across both onshore and offshore substations, contributing to a high-impact renewable energy initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop Employer Requirements for substation electrical equipment
• Lead design verification for HV/MV/LV systems and Protection & Control
• Oversee the Grid Connection process, including Power System Studies and Protection Coordination
• Provide technical leadership to offshore substation contractors
• Manage interfaces across multiple project packages
• Supervise power system studies to ensure compliance with grid code requirements

Essential Skills:

• Extensive experience in electrical engineering within offshore wind or large infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of substation design and grid integration
• Proven ability to lead technical processes and coordinate across multidisciplinary teams
• Expertise in protection systems and power system studies
• Effective stakeholder management and communication skills
