Lead Electrical Engineer – Marine EV Systems
Location: Alameda, CA (Onsite)
Compensation: $150,000–$200,000

Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer to design, integrate, and maintain electrical systems for our advanced electric boats. This role requires experience with high-voltage EV systems, marine environments, and strong collaboration with mechanical and production teams. You will play a critical role in ensuring our vessels meet performance, safety, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and integrate high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems for marine EV applications

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system architecture, wiring harness design, and component selection

Conduct electrical testing, troubleshooting, and validation during production and prototyping phases

Ensure compliance with ABYC, USCG, and other relevant marine/electrical standards

Create detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and documentation for manufacturing and service teams

Support field operations and resolve issues in real time during testing and customer delivery

Identify and implement improvements to electrical design and build processes
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)

8+ years of experience with high-voltage EV systems, preferably in automotive, marine, or aerospace sectors

Strong understanding of power distribution, battery systems, and marine electrical integration

Ability to read and create wiring diagrams and schematics

Excellent troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience in an assembly/manufacturing environment
Follows SOPs and takes pride in clean, efficient work
