The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate should include the following: Creating PLC's and HMI's from scratchEnsuring projects are completed within parametersMentoring and training engineering staffDeveloping standard controls, electrical components, programs and enclosuresUtilizing standardized modulesWorking to simplify the design processRedesigning to meet the changing needs of customers Monitoring start-up and testing before products go to the customerTraveling up to 25% to customer sitesTroubleshooting The background of the successful candidate must include the following: Five years of automation controls design experience for OEM machinesA Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (an additional five years of OEM Machinery experience would be considered in lieu of a degree)Possess the ability to travel up to 25%A solid work historyA US citizen or possess a green cardA residence within 45 minutes
