Lead Drainage EngineerLocation: CardiffSalary: £ 15.50 to £16.50 basic, to £33ph OT (time and a half for OT and Saturday, double time for Sunday)Job Type: Full-time / PermanentAbout the RoleWe are seeking a reliable and skilled Lead Drainage Engineer to join our clients team based from Cardiff working in the commercial, construction, rail and industrial industries. You will work as part of a 3-person van team undertaking a variety of drainage and specialist works, including live CCTV surveys, high-pressure water jetting, confined space operations, and pipe rehabilitation projects.As the Lead Drainage Engineer , you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality service to clients within working in the commercial, construction, rail and industrial industries while leading on-site operations and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to professional standards. You will also be responsible for producing drainage reports, drawings, and detailed job sheets/notes.This role is ideal for a motivated and technically competent engineer who enjoys a hands-on environment and takes pride in delivering excellent service.Key ResponsibilitiesLead a two-person team on drainage and specialist projectsCarry out CCTV drainage surveys and codingOperate high-pressure water jetting equipmentUndertake confined space operations in accordance with safety regulationsDeliver pipe rehabilitation and drainage maintenance worksProduce professional drainage reports, drawings, and detailed job sheets/notesEnsure all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to client specificationsLiaise professionally with clients, site teams, and managementMaintain company equipment and vehicle standardsSupport high service standards and contribute to ongoing business growthExperience RequiredEssentialFull clean UK driving licenceProven experience within the drainage industryCSCS card (Green)High Pressure Water Jetting certificationStrong experience in CCTV drainage surveying and coding (mandatory) using vrawlers and pushrod camerasConfined space training and practical experienceStrong communication and organisational skillsAbility to lead and work effectively within a small teamProfessional and client-focused approachDesirableOS19x certificationPTS/COSSHighways passportExperience in pipe rehabilitation techniquesAdditional drainage industry accreditations or certificationsExperience working within the commercial, construction, rail and industrial industriesWhat We OfferGreat salary and overtime opportunitiesOngoing training and career developmentCompany vehicleHoliday package that increases annuallyJDR is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.JDRNewportWe are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds.
