Job Description

Job title : Lead Data Engineer

Location : Leeds & Bristol

Duration : 6+ Months contract

3 days onsite in a week

• Lead and manage offshore teams covering Data Engineering, Data Analysis, and Data Modelling activities.
• Provide technical direction, review deliverables, and ensure adherence to data architecture and engineering best practices.
• Plan and allocate work across the offshore team, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
• Design, develop, and oversee scalable data pipelines using PostgreSQL, Google BigQuery, and Google Cloud Spanner.
• Ensure data ingestion, transformation, and storage solutions meet performance, reliability, and scalability requirements.
• Guide optimization of SQL queries, partitioning strategies, indexing, and cost‑efficient data processing.
