JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Data engineer is responsible for setting enterprise standards for databases, data integration, and the means to get to the data.
• Direct developers and analysts to make changes to existing pipelines, databases and data processes, including providing direction in coding logical data objects.
• Execute investigations and provide analysis to help drive insights in design.
• Develop standards and guidelines

Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer programming OR a relevant field required.
• 10+ years’ experience required.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Expert knowledge of logical data modeling and physical data modeling.
• Expert knowledge of computer software, such as SQL, Snowflake, etc.

SOFT SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Expert ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
• Expert leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback
