We have an excellent opportunity for a Lead Data Engineer to join our team, We operate in the equipment rental sector and this role involves creating and maintaining data pipelines to support analytics and business insights. Based in Harrogate but with remote working, this permanent position offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects in a fast-evolving environment.\n\nClient Details\n\nThis opportunity is with a medium-sized organisation in the equipment rental industry, known for its commitment to leveraging data-driven solutions. For 70 years we have delivered for our customers - safely, efficiently, responsibly.\n\nDescription\n\nThe Lead Data Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to:\n\nDesign, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support analytics and reporting needs.\nCollaborate with analytics teams to define data requirements and ensure data availability.\nImplement data quality checks to ensure accuracy and reliability of datasets.\nOptimise and improve data workflows for better efficiency and performance.\nWork with cloud-based platforms to manage data storage and processing infrastructure.\nTroubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner.Profile\n\nA successful Data Engineer should have:\n\nProficiency in designing and managing data pipelines and workflows.\nStrong with cloud-based data platforms and big data technologies.\nStrong skills in Snowflake and DBT.\nKnowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.\nA background in computer science, data engineering, or a related field.\nAn analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex data challenges.Job Offer\n\nIn addition to some great benefits and hybrid working, we also offer.\n\nCompetitive salary range of £65,000 to £70,000 per annum.\nPermanent role based in Harrogate hybrid working circa 2 days in the office.\nOpportunity to work on cutting-edge & Greenfield projects.\nBenefits package to be confirmed.\nSupportive company culture with a focus on technical growth.If you're a Data Engineer who is able to commute to Harrogate circa 2 days a week and would like to have a strategical input as well as technical then we encourage you to apply today
