Lead CNC Machine Operator Position Summary:
The Lead machine operator is responsible for supporting and training a small group of machine operators.
Lead CNC Machine Operator Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Verify components are produced to print (dimensional and visual inspection)
- Change tools.
- Make offsets.
- Assist with the operations by monitoring the CNC machine operators.
- Load material and remove scrap.
- Fill out various paperwork.
- Simultaneous operation of multiple machines
- Minor troubleshooting
- Part inspection
Lead CNC Machine Operator Necessary Education, Skills, and Competencies (including licensing and certifications):
- Proven experience with lathe/mill turning machines.
- 2-4 years’ experience with Swiss Screw Machines is . (Tornos, Star, )
- Proven experience with lathe/mill turning machines.
- Experience using the Fanuc control .
- Must have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints (GD&T symbols).
- Working knowledge of various materials & tools (inserts, endmills, drills Etc.)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills and positive can-do attitude
- Must be dependable and possess a willingness to learn new techniques.
Physical requirements:
- Ability to stand for several hours.
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
