Job Description

Lead AI Engineer - Up to £130K

| £90K-£110K + Bonus | Hybrid in London (3 Days Onsite per Week)

Our client is an AI- engineering firm trusted by major enterprises to build and operationalise scalable AI platforms. With a unique mix of technical depth and proven delivery frameworks, they enable clients to unlock measurable value from AI at scale.

As a Lead AI Engineer, you’ll be the driving force behind the architecture and delivery of large-scale AI systems. You’ll set the technical vision, mentor cross-functional teams, and work closely with senior stakeholders to turn high-impact ideas into production-ready solutions. This is a chance to shape how AI is built and adopted at enterprise scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Set AI architecture and long-term tech direction
• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex AI platforms
• Mentor and develop engineering teams
• Evaluate and implement new AI frameworks
• Partner with enterprise clients to align AI with business goals
• Ensure AI solutions are ethical, scalable, and production-ready

What You’ll Bring

• Experience delivering and scaling enterprise AI/ML systems
• Hands-on expertise with cloud AI platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Strong Python engineering skills + FastAPI, CI/CD, MLOps, LLM tooling
• Leadership across cross-functional engineering teams
