Lead AI Engineer, Hybrid, £700 pd Inside )\n\nLEAD APPLIED AI ENGINEER – 6 MONTHS CONTRACT - £700 PD INSIDE IR35 – HYBRID 2-3 DAYS ON SITE – BPSS\n\nThis role is Hybrid and can be based in either London/Bristol or Manchester but the candidate would be expected to travel to London ad hoc for meetings as and when they come up.\n\nAs the Lead Applied AI Engineer you will play a central role in the AI programme, an ambitious new initiative shaping the future of how people interact with public services. This work will harness the latest AI capabilities to radically improve the customer experience across government.\n\nExperience Required:\n\nProficiency in Python.\n\nStrong software engineering skills with a focus on building production-ready systems\n\nAn understanding of deploying and monitoring such systems in a cloud environment.\n\nFamiliarity with tools for working with Large Models via API or in a local context\n\nExperience with NLPs, deep learning and generative AI.\n\nPassion for building products that augment human capabilities\n\nBuilding AI agents, or products that rely on AI agents\n\nDeveloping and working with tools and interfaces for AI applications\n\nTraining traditional Machine Learning and Deep Learning models\n\nExperience delivering applications to production\n\nHands-on experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker.\n\nExperience designing software services with respect to infrastructure, considering dependencies like databases and message queues, cloud environments, and pre-existing services with which yours must collaborate.\n\nSupporting and enabling technical teams via upskilling, mentoring and conflict resolution.\n\nExplaining complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences with clarity
