Position Summary
The Safety & Field Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of field crews and ensuring all projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with environmental and regulatory standards. This role combines on-site leadership with responsibility for the maintenance and readiness of equipment and strict adherence to company safety protocols. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who prioritizes safety, demonstrates strong organizational skills, and fosters a productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Supervise and coordinate field crews on all job sites, ensuring work is performed to scope, schedule, and quality standards.
· Act as the primary on-site safety officer, enforcing all company safety policies, conducting tailgate safety meetings, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and other applicable regulations.
· Monitor and inspect job sites for hazards, document incidents or near-misses, and recommend corrective actions.
· Oversee and track the use, maintenance, and transport of company equipment, ensuring all tools and machinery are in safe and working condition.
· Communicate daily with management and clients regarding project progress, challenges, and safety concerns.
· Train and mentor field employees in proper work practices, equipment use, and safety procedures.
· Maintain accurate records, including daily reports, equipment logs, and safety inspection checklists.
· Assist in planning and scheduling manpower and resources for upcoming projects.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in safety, environmental, or construction fields is a plus.
· 3+ years of supervisory experience in construction, environmental services, or a related field.
· Working knowledge of weed abatement, habitat restoration, erosion control, and/or hazardous material cleanup practices.
· Strong understanding of OSHA standards and environmental safety regulations.
· Demonstrated ability to lead crews and resolve on-site challenges effectively.
· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
· Bilingual (English/Spanish)
