Land Development Project Manager

Schedule: Field & Office | M-F | 8 @ 40-45 weekly

Advantage Tech is partnering with a growing residential development company to hire a Land Development Project Manager. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of community infrastructure, leading projects from bidding through final city approvals. Ideal candidates will bring experience in civil construction and land development, but early-career engineers with the right mindset and degree will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of residential land development projects
• Lead bidding and contract negotiations for civil construction subcontractors
• Ensure timely project execution, from scheduling and permitting to final city approvals
• Manage subcontractor performance, budgets, and field timelines
• Cultivate strong relationships with contractors, city staff, and trade partners
• Coordinate with internal teams to deliver lots ready for vertical construction
• Track costs, generate status reports, and proactively resolve construction issues
• Continuously improve processes to enhance efficiency and project outcomes
• Represent the company with professionalism and integrity in all interactions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (required for new grads; for experienced applicants)
• 5+ years of land development or project management experience
• Familiarity with mass grading, asphalt, drainage, and utility infrastructure
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and general computer systems
• Strong project management, planning, and budgeting skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
• Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Demonstrates emotional intelligence, humility, and a solution-oriented mindset

Nice to Have

• EIT or PE license
• Previous experience in residential land development
• Working knowledge of permitting and municipal approval processes
