Westaff is seeking Lamination Machine Operators for our client in Salisbury MA!

POSITION OVERVIEW
Follows the written and verbal instructions of Supervisors and operators to meet the requirements of the production schedule. Insure the handling of coated goods production. Maintains continual monitoring of assigned manufacturing equipment as to conformance to quality standards. Responsibility for meeting established production rates for assigned equipment. Responsible for cleanliness of work area. Responsible for minimizing scrap. Follows all safety and company policy requirements.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follows the requirements of the assigned SAP schedule to meet production demand.
- Reads the order for the specific material.
- Confirms that the material on the machine matches the SAP order.
- Helps with machine set up based upon established specifications.
- Takes samples to give to QA
- Reports the finished product to SAP order.
- Store the product using a forklift (after attaining Forklift certification site provides the training)
- Unloads and loads lamination equipment with material.
- Adjusts equipment to maintain proper quality standards.
- Cleans production area and assigned equipment.
- Notifies Supervisor and/ or operator of any problems.
- Completes projects and tasks assigned.
- Advises the Production Manager on issues and improvements pertaining to areas of responsibility.
- Cleans pumps and other production equipment.
- Advises Supervisor/Leadership on issues regarding safety.
- Ensures the compliance of procedures to all company policies.
- Any other reasonably related duties as assigned by supervisor or other higher-level managers.

- Production volume.
- Quality of product processed.
- Cleanliness and physical condition of the assigned area.
- Attendance.
- Timeliness of completed schedules.
- Attendance at required meetings.
- Proper completion of projects.
- Proper and accurate processing of product.
- Compliance with all safety and company regulations for assigned area of responsibility.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School degree or GED
Ability to communicate at all levels and with the ability to understand and communicate ideas both verbally and written.
Familiar with the Operation of production machinery
Ability to understand Production Schedules
Good mechanical skills
Ability to calculate and problem solve
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to speak, read, write in both English and Spanish
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT USED:
Safety Eyewear (additional when executing certain tasks)
Steel Toe Safety Shoes
Hairnet
Cut resistant gloves, chemical gloves, etc. as needed
Hard hat as needed
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - FREQUENCY, AMOUNT, OR DESCRIPTION
1. Standing: Ability to stand while working - 95% of day
2. Sitting: Ability to sit down - 5% of day
3. Moving: Ability to move throughout plant - 100% of day
4. Lifting: Ability to lift to 60 lbs. - 100% of day
5. Ascending/Descending: Ability to walk upstairs, climb to top of range (approx. 16 ft) - 75% of day
6. Push/Pull/Reach: Ability to push/pull fabric rolls, A-frames (approx.
1500lbs) - 10% of day
7. Bending: Ability to pick up objects from the floor - 25% of day
8. Visual Acuity: Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties,including reading information from printed sources andcomputer screens. - 5% of day
9. Cognitive: Alert. Able to make decisions, reason, and understand
information. - 100% of day
WORK ENVIRONMENT/SAFETY-SENSITIVE POSITION
This job operates in a manufacturing facility. This position is a safety-sensitive position and regularly works around moving mechanical parts and powered industrial vehicles. Noise level is generally loud. Temperatures can vary depending upon the time of year and outside impacts.
SHIFT/WORK HOURS
Shift schedule will depend on open positions at time of hire and will be communicated with new hire paperwork. Weekends and holidays are scheduled depending on business demands.
