Job description

The Laboratory Technician is the primary chemist for the Plating Chem-Lab. The main objective of this position is to collaborate in the chemical maintenance of the cleaning, activation, and plating tanks by the means of chemical analysis, and chemical additions as required.

Also, to provide support to other departments such as EHS, or production by the execution of requested non-planned activities.

Daily Activities:

1. Executes chemical titrations on plating, activation, and cleaning baths based on the define analysis schedule.
2. Executes pH measurements on plating, activation, and cleaning baths based on the define schedule.
3. Executes specific gravity on plating baths as required per define schedule.
4. Performs concentration measurement by the means of ICP
5. Executes Hull cell testing as required per define schedule.
6. Ensure safe practices (jointly safe department)
7. Provides support with chemical inventory
8. Execute chemical process maintenance activities such as carbon treatment, dummy plate, etc.
9. Makes chemical additions to maintain plating, activation, and cleaning tanks within pre-defined working parameters.
10. Provide support regarding wastewater treatment, and DI water activities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

Possible Supplemental Pay:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering
