The Role:

As a Lab Technician, you will support the inspection and laboratory areas by carrying out mechanical testing, preparing samples, and inspecting machined and finished parts. Your work will ensure that the highest quality standards are consistently maintained across production.



Key Responsibilities:



Prepare laboratory samples, including etching and mounting as required.



Perform initial viewing of samples and in-process parts.



Machine test bars and carry out mechanical testing, including tensile, fatigue, and hardness tests.



Record and maintain lab data accurately.



Produce lab certifications for finished parts.



Assist with final finishing operations such as polishing (manual and automated), part marking, and deburring.



Support quality and inspection teams to ensure all components meet specifications.



Skills & Experience Required:



Previous experience in a laboratory, quality, or inspection role within an engineering environment.



Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and check measurements.



Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.



Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.



Team-oriented, demonstrating loyalty and commitment to colleagues.



Ability to work independently and flexibly, using your own initiative.



Good standard of written and verbal communication.
