Laboratory Technician in Austin

Job Description

The Scientific Team at Russell Tobin & Associates is hiring a Lab Technician for a world-class client in Austin, TX. This is a great opportunity for recent graduates with a Science or Engineering degree looking to gain hands-on lab experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support engineers with product testing and validation (optical and mechanical performance)
• Conduct lab experiments, prepare materials, and assist in product development
• Perform quality checks and basic data analysis
• Set up and maintain lab equipment and testing environments
• Handle physical, lab-based tasks (this is not a desk-only role)

Required Skills:

• Lab support experience or academic lab exposure
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a hands-on, equipment-heavy environment
• Basic understanding of testing, experimentation, and quality control

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Open to recent graduates

Additional Details:

• 12-month contract (possibility of extension)
• Pay: $20/hr to $22/hr
