Process Engineering Technician

Location: San Diego, CA 92122 - Onsite

Pay Rate: $22.75–$28.25/hr

Duration: 3 Months+

Hours: 6am-2:30pm Mon-Fri


JOB DESCRIPTION

The Process Engineering Technician is a part of the San Diego headquarters Reagent Development Services team which provides support across a wide variety of new product introductions and new process capabilities. As a Process Engineering Technician you will execute custom formulations and fills and collect experimental data. This position will provide opportunities to interact with various project teams and internal partners to rapidly investigate problems, develop countermeasures, and prevent recurrence. A successful candidate will be self-motivated and able to work independently in a team-oriented environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Familiar with reagent manufacturing processes in a clean room environment. Familiar with gowning protocol.
  • Be able to work with mixing and filling equipment, including automated dispensing with adequate documentation.
  • Be able to multi-task different operations for short periods of time within a work day
  • Collect data based on engineering instructions and collate them using Excel.
  • Be methodical in doing repetitive operation to minimize part to part variation
  • Basic failure analysis techniques.
  • Maintaining a clean and operable lab environment, executing weekly or monthly cleaning activities.
  • Daily stocking of lab supplies.
  • Available for daytime working hours.

Education and experience:

  • Requires a minimum of 0-1 years of related experience
  • B.S. or working towards B.S. in related field
  • Experience executing batch records per GDP
  • Experience working in a lab
  • Experience working with detailed instructions and guidance from engineering staff
  • Experimental testing experience

Must Haves:

  • Wet-lab experience
  • Exposure to lab production or testing
  • Exposure to Good Documentation Practices
  • Exposure to Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Exposure to common laboratory practices
