Laboratory Technician

Job Description

We are a Beauty, Skincare & Cosmetics Manufacturer with a proven track record of supplying top-tier private label and branded products to leading retailers.

We are looking for a Lab Technician from a cosmetics or personal care industry to join our growing team!

This role will be based both in the lab and on the factory floor working closely with our Chemists and the Quality Assurance and Operations Managers.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES

• To oversee the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results
• To conduct thorough chemical analysis and testing of raw materials, intermediate products and finished goods to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
• To handle, label and store samples in accordance with established protocols. And to ensure proper sample identification and traceability
• To adhere to lab safety protocols including the use of personal protective equipment, chemical handling and disposal procedure
• To assist in the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures related to laboratory testing and processes
• To work closely with other departments such as Operations and QA to trouble issues and support continuous improvement efforts

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Ideally experienced in a laboratory cosmetics environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data recording and analysis
• Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices in a laboratory setting
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation
• Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast paced environment
• Commitment to quality and continuous improvement
