A Brief Overview

PRN position

Location: Minoff  Laboratory, 3909 Orange Place, Orange OH 44122
Center hours are:  Monday through Friday, 0830-1700.
Mandatory willingness to float to all Seidman Cancer Center locations as needed for coverage

Performs specimen procurement and/or processing of laboratory specimens. Provides laboratory support functions.

What You Will Do
 

• Organizes and performs tasks efficiently to meet departmental turnaround time standards.
• Performs computer data entry, laboratory processes including sterile technique, aliquoting and/or phlebotomy
• Processes specimens for laboratory testing.

• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.

• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Equivalent / GED (Required) and
• Other Accredited Program: Formal Training from an accredited phlebotomy school or medical assistant program () ()

Work Experience

• less than 1 year Entry level (Required)

Licenses and Certifications

• Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) Phlebotomy Certification ( Upon Hire)
