DESCRIPTION

- Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm, no weekends

- 140-bed medical center

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Ensures adequate and qualified staffing for the department (staff hiring, , competency, training, performance feedback and performance management)

- Sets and executes department strategies to meet goals

- Oversees the financial operation for the laboratory by monitoring resource utilization, identifying variances and opportunities

- Assures compliance with standards set forth by CAP, JCAHO, CLIA, FDA and CMS

- Manages key vendor relationships and supply contracts

- Monitors and evaluates staff and provides management, coaching, and guidance
