Location: Middletown, NY
Pay: $22–$28 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire | Manufacturing | Quality Control
Shift Details:

• 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 2:50 PM – 11:00 PM
• Week: Typically on 1st shift at regular rate
• Mandatory Overtime: Every third weekend (Saturday & Sunday); Sunday is paid at double time

Position Summary:
We are hiring a Lab Technician to support inspection and quality control processes in a high-tech manufacturing environment. This role involves using microscopes to evaluate coated components, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring compliance with engineering and safety standards. Ideal candidates are mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced setting.

Lab Technician Responsibilities:

• Inspect coated components using microscopes to assess thickness and material composition
• Break down parts for detailed analysis and documentation
• Read and follow work instructions, blueprints, and technical drawings
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management
• Maintain accurate records for traceability and compliance
• Collaborate with team members to meet production and quality goals

Lab Technician Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be a U.S. due to government contract requirements
• Ability to work in EBPVD and/or Plasma environments
• Comfortable lifting, bending, squatting, climbing, and working in confined spaces
• Strong attendance, punctuality, and flexibility
• Ability to follow instructions and multitask effectively

Qualifications:

• Experience using microscopes, calipers, and reading blueprints
• Previous manufacturing or lab experience
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Good communication skills
• Quick learner and self-starter
