Lab Infrastructure Engineer

Ipswich | £350 per day | 6 Month Contract | 5 Days On Site (lab based work)

We're supporting a major telecommunications organisation that is investing heavily in next- broadband and connectivity platforms.

They are looking for an experienced Automation Test Engineer to join a highly technical engineering team responsible for developing and maintaining automated testing solutions across broadband and home networking products.

What You'll Be Doing

Developing Python-based automation test scripts
Building and improving CPE test environments
Supporting broadband and home gateway product testing
Working within Agile delivery teams
Troubleshooting complex technical issues
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
Using Git, GitLab and JIRA to support delivery

Technical Requirements

Strong Python experience
Linux administration knowledge
Docker and containerisation
Virtual machine environments
Git / GitLab
Agile and Scrum environments
Broadband technologies including:
FTTP
xDSL
IPv4 / IPv6
PPP
Wi-Fi
UPnP
4G / 5G
CPE / Home Gateway testing experience
RF fundamentals
Wireless networking expertise
Telecoms industry experience
