Summary
A multi-discipline engineering and construction services firm is seeking a Structural Engineer to join its New York City team. This role supports bridge, highway, and infrastructure projects across public and private sectors and offers a hybrid work schedule. The ideal candidate has hands-on structural design experience and is comfortable working on transportation and infrastructure projects governed by New York and New Jersey agencies.
Key Responsibilities

Perform structural analysis and design for bridges, highways, buildings, and related infrastructure

Design structural systems for new construction and modifications to existing structures

Collaborate with architects, engineers, surveyors, and clients throughout project development

Produce detailed structural drawings and calculations using CAD and analysis software

Support construction inspection efforts and verify compliance with design documents and codes

Prepare technical reports, calculations, and submissions for regulatory agencies

Participate in coordination meetings and assist with project planning and execution
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering

Master’s degree
-
EIT certification required
-
PE license or actively working toward PE
-
3–6 years of structural engineering experience

Prior experience with NYSDOT and NYSTA projects strongly

Strong knowledge of NYC Building Code and applicable standards

Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and MicroStation
-
Familiarity with structural analysis software such as AASHTO tools, RISA, Enercalc, SAP2000, CSI Bridge, or similar FEM platforms

Strong communication skills and ability to work within multi-discipline teams
Compensation
-
$50.00 – $60.00 per hour, commensurate with experience
