Job Description
Location: London\n\nSalary: £20,000 - £32,000 + Travel to Site + Pension + Healthcare + Bonus (Discretionary)\n\nThe Company:\n\nOur client is an established £40m+ Contractor throughout the UK, with a reputation for exceptional delivery on some of London’s largest and most complex construction projects. They’ve made a name for themselves across the construction industry and operate in the Commercial and Residential sectors with leading Main Contractors throughout the industry. Our client has over 20+ years on industry experience and due to consistent project wins, they’re looking to expand their team across the Junior Quantity Surveying field.\n\nAs the Junior / Assistant M&E QS you will have the following responsibilities:\n\n * Assist in preparing project costs and contracts.\n\n * Assist preparing tender documents, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation.\n\n * Collaborate with quantity surveyors and project managers, assisting with risk management and cost control throughout the lifecycle of the project to ensure successful project delivery.\n\n * Review client payment notices.\n\n * Help produce subcontract orders for supply chain.\n\n * Support communication between clients, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure a smooth flow of information.\n\nIdeal qualifications and experience:\n\n * Experience in the M&E industry or recent quantity surveying graduate/ Ideally some prior experience in Quantity Surveying or construction cost management – internships, placements, or similar.\n\n * Overall knowledge of a wide variety of mechanical and electrical systems.\n\n * Strong numerical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.\n\n * The ability to work under pressure to meet set deadlines.\n\n * Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.\n\n * Strong IT skills using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.\n\nWhat’s in it for you:\n\n * Basic salary upto £32,000 (negotiable depending on experience)\n\n * Structured training and mentoring from senior QSs and Commercial Managers\n\n * Exposure to a wide range of project types and specialist systems\n\n * Pension scheme and additional benefits\n\n * A lively and positive company culture built on integrity and innovation\n\nApply today for a confidential chat about what’s next
