Junior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Northampton
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Salary: DOE

The Junior Quantity Surveyor will support the commercial and site teams across a range of projects, ensuring effective cost control, procurement, and contract management.

Duties

  • Monitor and manage project costs
  • \n

  • Assist with procurement and sourcing materials
  • \n

  • Prepare and review tender documents, including bills of quantities and SORs
  • \n

  • Maintain accurate site records and track progress
  • \n

  • Support with contractual, health and safety, and environmental compliance
  • \n

  • Liaise with site teams for accurate paperwork submission
  • \n

  • Support payment collection and dispute resolution
  • \n

  • Review subcontractor quotes and process applications for payment
  • \n

  • Record, price, and manage variations and change orders
  • \n

  • Work closely with the Senior QS to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • \n

The Candidate

    \n
  • 1–4 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role (ideally within construction/civils)
  • \n

  • Qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar (or working towards one)
  • \n

  • Practical mindset with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment
  • \n

  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and realistic expectations of site work
  • \n
