SUMMARY
Maintains quality standards by performing inspections on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products, and recording quality results. Works under close supervision to manage daily priorities and develops inspection skills across both Mechanical and Electrical assemblies. Provides support to production teams while learning and applying AS9100 and ISO9001 requirements.
Position: Full-time
Pay: $29.33 - $31.43/ hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Inspection Responsibilities:
- Perform First Article, receiving, in-process, and final inspections under supervision.
- Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and escalating non-conformances.
- Support in-process inspections by verifying specifications, conducting tests, and communicating required adjustments to production and quality supervisors.
- Assist with final inspection of products, confirming specifications and returning products for re-work as needed.
Production Support:
- Provide instruction and assistance to production when requested.
- Organize and prioritize inspection tasks to help maintain production schedules.
- Support quality initiatives by following procedures and modeling adherence to standards.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; input data into the quality database.
- Assist in maintaining integrity of the quality system database.
- Support completion of NCRs and other basic quality documentation under guidance.
Quality System & Standards:
- Assist in maintaining and monitoring quality standards and the quality system, including ISO9001, AS9100, customer specifications, and agency requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and promote quality awareness.
Equipment & Safety:
- Help keep measurement equipment operating and report when calibration or certification may be required.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards, procedures, and regulations.
Professional Development:
- Update job knowledge by participating in training opportunities and reading technical publications.
- Demonstrate initiative in learning inspection practices, tools, and standards.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent; two years of related experience and/or training in manufacturing .
- At least 6 months of experience interpreting blueprints and specifications and using basic quality measuring tools.
- One year of experience as a quality inspector or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Quality Control, and Aerospace production environments .
- General knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 quality systems is .
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Requirement to pass Background check in accordance with Customer Guidelines and Requirements.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
SKILLS
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Able to document inspection results clearly in logs or databases.
- Comfortable communicating with supervisors and peers to escalate issues or ask clarifying questions.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Proficient with PC and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Ability to learn ERP or quality database systems.
- Basic math skills to support inspection measurements and calculations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

WORK ENVIRONMENT

- Employees may be exposed to moderate noise levels, moving mechanical equipment, airborne particles, and temperature variations typical of a production setting.
