Junior Process Engineer (Applications Engineering)£30,000–£35,000 per annum £585 monthly car allowance\n\nLondon & South East Home-Based Field Role\n\nCovering: London, Surrey, Kent, Sussex, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Essex, Hampshire and surrounding Home Counties\n\nWe are seeking a Junior Process Engineer to join a specialist engineering business operating within the water treatment sector.\n\nThis Junior Process Engineer role is field-based, combining technical learning with commercial exposure from day one. You will work closely with consulting engineers to influence how water treatment solutions are designed into new building projects across London and the South East.\n\nThe Junior Process Engineer will be responsible for building relationships, developing technical understanding, and supporting early-stage specification work across a defined regional territory.\n\nThe RoleAs a Junior Process Engineer, you will spend four days per week in the field, engaging with consultants and developing long-term professional relationships. The Junior Process Engineer will gradually take ownership of their own region and pipeline, becoming a trusted technical advisor within the built environment sector.\n\nKey responsibilities for the Junior Process Engineer include:\n\nVisiting consulting engineers and building strong professional relationships\nEngaging at feasibility and design stage to influence specification decisions\nSupporting the specification of water treatment solutions into projects\nDelivering CPD presentations on key technical topics\nWorking with internal technical teams to develop proposals and convert opportunities\nBuilding a strong understanding of water treatment processes and applications across multiple sectors\nManaging CRM activity and maintaining accurate pipeline records\nWorking towards commercial and performance targetsThe Junior Process Engineer will also undertake occasional overnight stays and periodic visits to head office in High Wycombe.\n\nAbout You – Junior Process EngineerWe are looking for a Junior Process Engineer who is:\n\nEducated to degree level in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline\nAble to read and interpret technical drawings, process schematics and engineering documentation\nA strong communicator with confidence presenting to professional audiences\nHighly organised with excellent time management skills\nA full UK driving licence holder willing to travel extensively\nBased in or able to cover London and the South East regionWhat Will Set You Apart as a Junior Process Engineer\nCommercially driven and motivated by targets\nSelf-starting with strong ownership of workload\nFast learner who can absorb technical detail quickly\nConfident building relationships with technical audiences\nReliable, consistent and detail-focused\nInterested in both engineering and customer-facing activitiesWhat's On Offer\nFull training and structured onboarding\nOngoing coaching and technical support\nEarly autonomy over your own territory\nClear progression into technical, process engineering or commercial pathways\nExposure to both engineering and business development functions\nCompany car allowance of £585 per monthThis is a fantastic opportunity for a Junior Process Engineer looking to build a career at the intersection of engineering, process technology and commercial influence within a growing specialist sector
