Our client is a highly reputable construction contractor with multiple specialist divisions, focusing on commercial masonry, cladding, and manufacturing services. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Junior Estimator to join their team, working on a mix of office-based tasks and on-site projects across the Midlands.
In this role, you will work closely with the commercial team to assist in the full estimating lifecycle, from logging new enquiries and preparing tender documents to attending site visits and supporting pricing submissions. Your week will typically include three days in the Derby office and two days on-site, mainly across Birmingham and the Midlands region. As you develop, you will have the opportunity to progress to Senior Estimator level, with structured training, quarterly reviews, and management opportunities as the business grows.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, confident with Excel, and happy to travel to site when needed with a full UK drivers' licence. Your attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to learn are the most important factors.

The Role:
Log new enquiries and maintain tender trackers using Excel
Prepare and issue pricing documents and assist with estimating tasks
Attend sites to support take-offs and measurements
Assist with the full estimating lifecycle from enquiry to submission
Attend meetings and liaise with clients and project teams
Help bring the company's new values and culture to life through your work
Learn and develop through structured training and mentorship
The Person:
Organised, detail-focused, and self-motivated
Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload
Basic maths skills essential
Interest in construction, estimating, or quantity surveying
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites regularly
Based within commutable distance of Derby
