Junior Design Project Coordinator (Junior Engineer/ Apprenticeship Opportunity)\n\nAre you a junior engineer, school leaver, or apprentice looking to build a career in design, coordination, and technical engineering environments?\n\nWe’re working with a well-established international engineering business specialising in building services, HVAC systems, and technical product design. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced design and project team, where you’ll gain hands-on experience, training, and exposure to real engineering projects.\n\nWhat you’ll be doing\n\nAs a Junior Design Project Coordinator, you’ll support the full lifecycle of engineering design projects, helping deliver high-quality technical solutions to customers.\n\nKey responsibilities include:\n\n * Supporting the end-to-end design process from concept through to completion\n\n * Assisting with engineering designs, technical drawings, and project quotations\n\n * Producing and updating specifications (spec breaks) and documentation\n\n * Working closely with customers and internal teams to translate requirements into practical solutions\n\n * Ensuring projects meet building regulations, compliance standards, and customer expectations\n\n * Maintaining accurate project records and documentation (GDPR awareness)\n\n * Providing technical and product support to stakeholders\n\n * Supporting senior engineers and project leaders with day-to-day coordination tasks\n\nWhat we’re looking for\n\nThis role is ideal for someone at the early stages of their engineering career.\n\nEssential skills\n\n * Strong interest in engineering, design, or construction / building services\n\n * Good IT skills including Microsoft Excel and Office tools\n\n * Excellent communication and teamwork skills\n\n * High attention to detail and organisation skills\n\n * Positive, motivated attitude with a willingness to learn and develop\n\n * Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment\n\nDesirable (but not essential)\n\n * Exposure to CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar)\n\n * Interest or experience in HVAC systems / mechanical engineering / building services\n\n * Awareness of technical standards (e.g., NHBC or construction regulations)\n\n * Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Dynamics 365)\n\n * Additional European skills (a bonus in international environments)\n\nQualifications\n\n NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) / GCSEs (A–C / 9–4)\n\n * Or currently studying / interested in an engineering apprenticeship\n\n * No extensive experience required – full training provided\n\nWhy this role?\n\n * Perfect entry point for junior engineers / apprentices\n\n * Opportunity to develop CAD, design, and project coordination skills\n\n * Exposure to real engineering projects and international teams\n\n * Structured learning within a supportive technical environment\n\n * Clear pathway for progression in engineering design or project management
