Job Specification\n Job Title: Junior Engineer – Pre-Construction (Plumbing & Electrical)\n Location: Lambeth Office (Hybrid, with site visits as required)\n Reports To: Pre-Construction Manager\n Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 per annum\n\nAbout the Role\n\nOur client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Engineer to join their Pre-Construction team. This role will support the preparation, coordination, and design review processes for plumbing and electrical projects prior to construction. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in planning, estimating, and technical documentation, working closely with senior engineers and project managers.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nReview project drawings, specifications, and design documents for plumbing and electrical systems.\nSupport the development of pre-construction plans, including layouts, material take-offs, and preliminary schedules.\nCoordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather technical information and pricing.\nPrepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation for project estimates and proposals.\nConduct site visits and surveys (as required) to collect data for design validation and planning.\nEnsure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and industry regulations.\nAssist in identifying potential risks, value engineering opportunities, and constructability issues.\nProvide general technical support to senior engineers and project managers.Skills & Qualifications\n\nBasic understanding of plumbing and/or electrical systems in construction projects.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nProficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other drafting/engineering software (advantageous).\nFamiliarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project).\nStrong communication and teamwork skills.\nEagerness to learn and develop within a fast-paced construction environment.What’s on Offer\n\nHybrid working based from the Lambeth office with site visits.\nMentorship and training from experienced engineers and project managers.\nExposure to diverse projects across plumbing and electrical disciplines.\nCareer development opportunities within the business.\nCompetitive salary package: £30,000 – £40,000 per annum plus benefits
