The career opportunity for you:
We are seeking a motivated Junior Electrical Engineer (EIT) to join our team. This role is ideal for an early-career professional who has earned their Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification and is eager to gain hands-on experience under the guidance of senior engineers. The Junior Electrical Engineer will support project design, analysis, and field activities across a variety of electrical engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and development of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
- Prepare drawings, specifications, and technical documentation under supervision of licensed engineers.
- Perform load calculations, short circuit analysis, and other electrical studies.
- Support project managers and senior engineers with project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
- Review submittals, shop drawings, and as-built documents.
- Collaborate with field teams to provide engineering support during construction and installation.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and other industry codes and standards.
- Participate in site visits, inspections, and commissioning activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, tools, and best practices.
- Participate in Recore Electric's Electrical Apprenticeship program
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required (or ability to obtain within [X] months).
- 0–3 years of electrical engineering experience (internships, co-ops, or entry-level work accepted).
- Familiarity with electrical design software (AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, SKM, etc.) .
- Strong understanding of electrical codes and safety standards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
