Jr Scientist (Full or Part Time) Cannabis Testing Lab

This position provides a fast track towards advancing your career in a licensed fast growing 4 year old cannabis testing lab while performing a stimulating variety of high complexity lab work.

Perform Cannabinoid, Terpene Analysis, Heavy Metal Analysis, Water Analysis, Microbiology Cultures, Mycotoxins, and Pesticide Residue analysis utilizing GC-MS, HPLC, AAGF, EIA utilizing highly complex developed analytical procedures, instruments, and/or established automated methods  Support proficiency testing, perform and document routine and preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment and instrumentation to assure reliability and accuracy in reporting tests results as well as quality control testing. Participate in development/improvement work to validate/improve new test procedures.  Manage and maintain the laboratory equipment and order supplies. Analyze collected data and identify trends relating to problem solving and troubleshooting as needed.

The candidate must be able to pass a Massachusetts CCC background check prior to employment. Requirements include BS or MS degree in Analytical Chemistry or Toxicology with 2-5 or more years of specific experience.  Experience with analytical chemistry, HPLC, GC-MS and or AAGF in an ISO 17025 Labs is desirable. Use of Metrc Cannabis software is also desirable.
